Lacquer Lockcase Clock 1770

The plinth and hood had to be completely restored, with the original lacquer work cleaned. It took delicate work to match the colour and decoration from the hood.

19th Century Giltwood Armchair

All the joints on the framework were loose while the carved mouldings and gesso work had broken away, so I dismantled every joint, cleaned, re-glued and assembled them back together. I also restored the mouldings and gesso work and re-gilded the entire chair.

Victorian Walnut Davenport

I designed a completely new fretwork gallery as this piece required major restoration. Turning, carving, veneering, inlay work, leathering and French polishing were all used to achieve the end result.

19th Century Giltwood Settee

The paintwork was completely stripped off to the bare wood. The frame was then gessoed and carved, the settee frame was then re-gilded with 22 carat gold leaf, before upholstering the frame.
